INtime Guided Relaxation Using the spoken word, the listener/participant is guided into a total physical relaxation of the body, literally from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. This is usually done to the soothing sounds of the ocean. This component of the program takes between 20-25 minutes. Relaxation prepares the body and ultimately the mind to cope with the stresses and tensions that one may encounter in everyday life. Guided Visualization/Imagery With the help of soothing music and nature sounds, the listener/participant is guided, by the spoken word, into a world of possibilities. Music and sounds complement the description of places and events, all written to stimulate the imaging faculty and release creativity. The objective is to reinforce the power of thought and imagination. This component of the program takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes (depending on the image being presented). Personalized visualization/imagery exercises for all age levels can be designed on request. |
Guided Meditation With the help of soothing music, the listener/participant is guided into an inner place of peace and stillness. The words have been prayerfully written, and convey ideas that are reminders of the inner strength with which we are all endowed. This component takes approximately 20 minutes.
Conscious Breath This phase of the program focuses on the breath, and enables the participant to be aware of how s/he breathes, and the importance of proper breathing. It also provides the perfect entrance into the other INtime exercises, as it calms and prepares the body for the total INtime experience. The program allows about 5-10 minutes for this component.
TIME ALLOTMENT For the program to be fully effective, at least 1½ hours are required for group sessions and 45 minutes to 1 hour for individual sessions. This is not a rushed program, as time is allotted to relax into and gently come out of each component. In group sessions, time is also allotted for questions and answers.
